Top 3 Internship Sites
One: Kauffman Lab
Why here-
This is a research lab studying how the brain and hormones interact to control reproduction in mammals. By obtaining an internship here would none other than get me familiar of what would it be like in the biological sciences field, also contribute to active research alongside a professor/scientist who owns the lab. Would help me if I decide to major in biology.
What I can bring to the table-
Why here-
Salk institute does research in neuroscience, genetics, immunology and more to search for cures in cancer or Alzheimer’s, aging or diabetes for example. Here, I would be doing research to cure a disease that affect millions of peoples lives.
What I can bring to the table-
Why here-
On the UCSD campus, this company produces “high quality biotech products and services at competitive prices for the campus research community and the San Diego biotech community”. Getting an internship here would expand my knowledge of biology but also enhance my skills of communicating to clients.

looking forward to:
I am especially looking forward to exploring the field of interest that I hope to intern in, biology. I wish to learn more about what it would be like working for a biology research company and in a lab. This would then help me figure out of I do want to major in the biological sciences in college and pursue a career in that. If it does not work out, that's okay too because then I would have more of an idea of what I am not looking for for a major in college.
